Have you ever wondered how computer will resemble in future.Here is a stunning video,where the output is projected on an Omni-directional display screen and you can control everything almost with your hands.

 The Microsoft Research team behind the surface computing and Sphere projects is showing something new at the company's TechFest today: A computer that projects images onto an overhead dome and lets users control the experience with their hands in mid-air. For now, the project is called "Interactions with an Omni-Directional Projector," but they're looking for a snappier name. Here's a video of Microsoft researchers Hrvoje Benko and Andy Wilson giving me a demo of the prototype here this morning.

Microsoft Recite Technology ....record your memories!

Microsoft Recite Technology Preview makes a busy mobile lifestyle easier by providing an easy method for remembering, searching, and retrieving mental notes and reminders from their Windows Mobile® device using the sound of their voice. Without navigating menus or tapping out text just speak your mental note to store it. Later, when you need the information just search and retrieve the remembrance using your voice.

How Does It Work?

Microsoft Recite’s voice search makes it easy to retrieve your stored thoughts and notes by using voice pattern matching. It analyzes the patterns in your speech and finds matches between two recordings -- the notes you stored on your phone, and the search you do using your voice. With Recite you can store thousands of spoken notes, and then later retrieve the notes you want based on a match with your search term(s). This is different from speech recognition, which has to accurately convert spoken words to application-readable input.

Press “Remember” to record a thought.

Press “Search” to retrieve your thoughts. It’s that simple!

Take a Digital tour to Sri Aandal Temple!

 The India Digital Heritage Project is a huge undertaking by Microsoft Research India that tries to "collect, store, and share data on architectural sites and stimulate research in visualization, computer vision, graphics and related fields."  MSR India's role is to provide technologies such as Photosynth and HD View (beta) to help showcase various Indian heritage sites in both 2D and 3D.

This video explores the glory of Sri Aandal Temple,Srivilliputhur through a mind-blowing digital tour via Photosynth.Users can take look at the intricate carvings of the Gopuram through HD View.They can have a 3D look of the Prakarams of Sri Aandal Temple at Srivilliputhur.
